In 2014, Elizabeth completed an intensive 900-hour massage therapy certification in the United States and became a licensed massage therapist in the state of Colorado. This programme allowed her to explore a wide range of manual therapies and introduced her to clinical approaches such as myofascial release for pain management that she uses in her practice today. She later pursued advanced training in craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute to support clients experiencing symptoms related to injury, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.
In 2021, Elizabeth earned a two-year Associate of Science degree in the United States with an emphasis on anatomy and physiology. Her growing interest in the relationship between psychology and pathophysiology encouraged her to pursue a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Edinburgh Napier University. Shortly after completing her degree, she enrolled in an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapies course to bring her academic knowledge into practical application. Her dedication to understanding the mind-body connection underpins a truly holistic and evidence-informed therapeutic practice.
Elizabeth’s passion for learning naturally extends to teaching. Drawing on years of clinical experience and study, she enjoys sharing her knowledge to help ensure that future generations of massage therapists are well-equipped and confident in their skills. She currently teaches bodywork and AP&P (anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology) to massage therapy students at the School of Holistic Therapy in Edinburgh.
Elizabeth uses evidence-based techniques that can help clients with pain relief and nervous system dysregulation. She sees the human body as a puzzle and is committed to thinking creatively when addressing pain that has not responded to traditional methods. Her extensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology guides her treatment plans as she works to identify and resolve the underlying causes of discomfort. Her trauma-informed approach creates a safe environment for all clients, especially those experiencing psychosomatic or chronic pain. Above all, Elizabeth brings a genuine desire to help others achieve optimum holistic health and wellbeing, something that is evident in the caring, compassionate, and calming experience she provides.
